Wyzetalk launches The Graduate Hub

Wyzetalk has announced the launch of Graduate Hub, a social and business network that connects students in a closed social community, allowing them to discuss their studies, jobs, bursaries, lifestyle and other areas of common interest.

"There is a real need for students to receive information that is pertinent to them in every phase of their student life. Not only are they in a phase of accumulating and sharing knowledge, they are also faced with the reality of funding their studies and finding work experience that will get them ahead. The Graduate Hub community was created to provide very necessary support from like-minded individuals and companies that have the best interests of students at heart," said Gys Kappers, CEO of Wyzetalk.

The social business platform is easy to access on a desktop, tablet or mobile phone using native apps for each technology environment that can be downloaded from the stores. It's safe and conversations are focused on topics that are only relevant to the students and not cluttered with social chatter and irrelevant ads.

"It's not just about content, ideas and chatter; rather it is about using a rich multi-play platform in a meaningful way to gain intelligence, insights and sentiment in a way that will help students come together to share interests and make more informed decisions about their studies and future. What's more, companies can also use The Graduate Hub to speak directly to these students and do it in a consequential way that helps build their futures. Think about internships, bursaries, work opportunities, freelancing, on-the-job experience, student loans to name but a few."

A more social way of engaging

The global growth of social media platforms has prompted the introduction of a more social way of engaging - specifically for success, curiosity, originality and satisfying relationships. "The question was how do we cultivate these drives for the benefit of students," said Ranthekeng Modisenyane, CEO of The Graduate Hub.

"The answer is to create a student evolution. So we created a place for serious study and intellectual engagement for individuals and groups, and coupled this with an academic centre for obtaining relevant information - all on a social media-type platform - creating a perfect synergy for like-minded students and companies to engage."

The aim is to grow The Graduate Hub to be a national system - transcending traditional tertiary silos - and enriching student lives across South Africa by providing them with a platform to interact with each other, share experiences and feel connected.

"While there are other student portals available, the vision for The Graduate Hub, coupled with the exceptional Wyzetalk platform, makes it unique. We believe we are setting a benchmark for an innovative way for students to engage, interact and share - all on a single platform," concluded Modisenyane.
