Exclusive pre-release screening of documentary drama, J. Edgar

Bookings are now open to the public to join Fine Music Radio presenter, Rodney Trudgeon, for an exclusive pre-release screening of the film, J.EDGAR, on Sunday, 22 January 2012 at Cinema Nouveau in Cavendish Square.

Written by Lance Black and directed by the award-winning Clint Eastwood, J.Edgar is a documentary drama offering a glimpse into the life of the first director of the FBI, J.Edgar Hoover, and sees an outstanding performance by Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role, already earning this talented actor a 2011 Golden Globe nomination, with speculation of a win and an Oscar nomination soon to follow.

Secrets would have destroyed his life

The film also stars some of Hollywood's finest, including Armie Hammer (Clyde Tolson), Naomi Watts (Helen Gandy) and Judi Dench (Anna Marie Hoover).

As the face of law enforcement in America for almost 50 years, J. Edgar Hoover was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life. Depicting his rise to the head of the FBI and the relationships that were instrumental in shaping his life and career, in particular his controversial friendship with his advisor Clyde Tolson, his devotion from his loyal secretary Helen Gandy and his controlling mother Anna Marie Hoover, J.EDGAR is a thrilling must-see film.
