Cine Prestige the venue for The Soil's music video

Ster-Kinekor's Cine Prestige has been selected as the exclusive location for a music video for the up and coming South African group, The Soil. Top music video production company, Pilot Films, chose the venue at The Zone at Rosebank, and the music video is expected to entertain music lovers while showcasing South Africa's premier cinema destination.

Following the successful launch of Cine Prestige in April this year, Ster-Kinekor has spoiled audiences with complete comfort - ensuring a unique and unforgettable experience. This is currently the only cinema in South Africa that boasts full leather reclining armchairs, a dedicated lounge and unique catering options.

    Leather seats and 3D screen

The Soil's new music video will not only showcase their unique and talented urban sounds, it will also be a tribute to one of South Africa's favourite cinema destinations. The luxury concept cinema features 38 spacious single recliner leather seats and five double leather recliners as well as a state-of-the-art 3D screen and powerful digital sound.

"Cine Prestige is a world-class cinema venue. When we developed the concept of the music video to suit a cinema theme, there was only one theatre that stood out for us and that was Cine Prestige," says executive producer for Pilot Films, Bruce Patterson.

    An exiting production

The music video will be for The Soil's hit single 'Iinkomo Beatbox Remix', featuring Zakwe. The Soil and music legend Zakwe play the role of movie-goers, taking their seats in Cine Prestige with boxes of popcorn and assorted beverages. When the movie starts though, audiences are in for much more.

"We are thrilled that audiences will get to see more of our 'business class' cinema offering and that it could be used for such an exciting South African production. Audiences have certainly been enjoying the venue since its opening and is proving to be one of our most popular theatres. We wish Pilot Films and The Soil every bit of success with the launch of this new video," says Doug Place, marketing executive at Ster-Kinekor.
