aKing's Laudo Liebenberg and Just Jinjer's Ard Matthews join Blood Brothers 2018

The fourth annual Blood Brothers will be held at the Zip Zap Circus School in Cape Town on 22 September 2018 and at the Platteland in Centurion, Pretoria on 29 September 2018. The 2018 lineup features old favourites joined by some of the country's young songwriters and performers as 11 of the country's local rockers band together on one stage for three hours of non-stop rock 'n roll.

This year, Blood Brothers will also be brace stages in both Pretoria and Cape Town, performing the songs that brought each of them to fame, intertwined with songs that influenced their sound over the years. The 2018 setlist promises to be more diverse than previous years and fans will be introduced to a whole new side of the band.

For four years running, Francois van Coke is joined by fellow alumni Hanu De Jong, Jason Oosthuizen, Jaco Mans, and Chris Van Der Walt. For the very first time, Blood Brothers welcomes aKing frontman Laudo Liebenberg as well as South African rock royalty Just Jinjer’s Ard Matthews, destroyer of six strings Jedd Kossew, and songwriter extraordinaire Adelle Nqeto.

The Hellcats’ Allesandro Benigno and Warwick Rautenbach will open the show and Hunter Kennedy wrote a song for Blood Brothers 2018.

The country’s rock musicians and The Vrede Foundation continue in their quest to generate awareness regarding cancer and raise funds to provide financial aid to young South Africans with cancer.
