Gerd Janson, Egyptian Lover and Job Jobse to play at CTEMF 2018

The Cape Town Electronic Music Festival (CTEMF) will be held at Atlantic Film Studios in Milnerton, Cape Town from 6-8 of April 2018.

The one major change for the 2018 edition of the CTEMF is the venue. The Atlantic Film Studios will host nine international acts including Dutch disco boss Job Jobse, Swiss legend Deetron and Egyptian Lover.

The Red Bull Music stage will host Egyptian Lover, the international US pioneer of electro and hip-hop music. Real name Greg Broussard, Egyptian Lover made history with his singles Egypt Egypt (1984) and Freak-A-Holic (1986).

Gerd Janson will play the closing set. The German artist is known as the quintessential DJ’s DJ, finding the tracks that get the true aficionados excited and on their feet. From running his label to writing as a music journalist to playing to appreciative crowds around the world, Gerd Janson is magical to watch and will leave festival attendees thrilled.

South Africa will also be represented on CTEMF’s programme, with a long list of local pioneers and innovators of the local music scene, including Aux Gawd, Stiff Pap, and DWSON. A series of workshops will also precede the festival.
