Three separate events will cater for attendees interested in electronic; house, urban and hip-hop; as well as indie music.
Taking to the stage will be the award-winning hip hop icon AKA who has won numerous Metro FM, SAMA and Channel O awards. He performed at the BET experience this June in the US and was nominated in the category Best African Act for two years in a row.
Riky Rick is a rapper, actor, writer, composer and record producer. He released his first studio album Family Values in 2015 and is signed to his own independent label and record company, Makhado Makhado Agency.
UK producer Atjazz has been performing and remixing for over 20 years. He has remixed and reworked music for artists such as Nitin Sawhney, Bob Sinclar, Jazzanova, Zed Bias & Omar.
DJ Tira is the owner of the Durban-based independent record label Afrotainment. He performs as DJ Tira locally and has hit the stages internationally too.
With eight years’ experience, p.H is known for his versatility and energetic stage presence. Apart from being known for his music, Stilo Magolide broke social media last year when #PoseLikeStilo went viral, with fans all over Instagram and Twitter sharing his now famous pose. Celebrating recent success for his latest track “Hell of a Life”, DJ Capital will hit the stage at the #BraamBeachParty. This Hip-Hop Awards nominee has opened for several international acts.
Taking inspiration from soul, Latin and kwaito before discovering house music at the age of eight, Jullian Gomes has been in the public eye since his first gig in 2010. Already a SAMA nominee at 23, Jullian has performed and remixed for artists like Black Coffee, The Layabouts and British Soul legend Omar.
Songwriter and performer, Shekhinah reached the Top 32 of MNET’s SA Idols in 2011, finishing in the top 6 of MNET’s Season 8 of SA Idols in 2012.
Formerly known as TuMi, Melo B Jones is a jazz-loving, soul songstress based in Johannesburg.
This lineup was revealed at an exclusive launch party at Great Dane in Braam last night (Thursday 7 July). The party was a small taste of the main event to come on Saturday 8 October 2016. Attendees got to meet and mingle with some of the lineup, who made special appearances, like Riky Rick, Stilo Mag, and DJ Capital.
