Discovery pledged its support for the Discovery Lance for Life Tour 2010, which sees Lance Armstrong, along with local and international sporting celebrities, embark on an initiative to raise awareness for the JAG Foundation as well as promote healthy living in South Africa. The itinerary includes a visit to a local school, cycling with SA's top business personalities as well as an exclusive banquet dinner and breakfast in March 2010.

Elana Meyer, JAG Foundation CEO says, “We are committed to empowering South Africa's youth through sport and the partnership with Discovery gives us the opportunity to increase our reach and make an even greater impact within local communities.

South African cycling retailer, Cycle Lab has also come on board to support the initiative and has been instrumental in the overall organisation of the event as well as securing sponsorships.

Hylton Kallner, Discovery's chief marketing officer said, “Lance is passionate about helping people prevent illness and reap the rewards of healthy living and we are proud to support him in this aim”.
