The who's who of South African sport celebrated in style at the annual Discovery Sport Industry Awards which took place at the Sandton Convention Centre on Thursday, 13 February 2014.
Award-winning work across the business of sport was acknowledged and rewarded in various categories.
Openfield was shortlisted amongst five other sponsorship agencies across South Africa and whilst there could only be one winner of the Sponsorship Agency of the Year title, the young dynamic agency received a special mention from the judging panel after Playmakers Sponsorship took the title.
Sport Industry Group, MD, James Monteith said: "The judges were exceptionally impressed with Openfield's rapid growth in a relatively short space of time, but more impressive was the vision and ethos towards sponsorship strategy that the company has."
This particular category was extremely tough for the judges and they were very impressed with some of the work produced over the past year including overall company performance.
"We were pleased that the judges saw their way fit to make a special mention of our growth as a young business and more importantly the quality of work we are producing for our clients. Our focus will remain on developing creative ideas and solutions for clients in the sponsorship realm, which are founded in sound strategic insights and which are measurable. Congratulations to Richard Dunn and his team at Playmakers on winning the award," commented Openfield MD, Marc Tudhope.
The fast-growing agency looks forward to the year ahead in producing award-winning work for all their current and prospective clients.
