A panel of judges determined which Joburg and Cape Town comedians went through to the heat stages in each respective city. Judges for the final event included radio personalities Arye Kellman and Udo Carelse, who made the ultimate selection for the Philips Comedy Style champion.
In addition, popular comedians Tats Nkonzo, Mpho Popps Modikoane and the Goliaths entertained the crowd and added their votes as additional judges. The winner of the Philips Comedy Style competition will receive three guaranteed gigs in his home city and Philips male grooming products.
