Zulu Dance Championships and Cultural FairDance troupes from around the country will gather at uShaka Marine World on 7 and 8 November 2009 in a competition to win the title Zulu Dance Champions. Registration will take place on 7 November at 9am. Thereafter, all groups will compete in the preliminary round of the competition.  The top-10 groups will be chosen to compete in the final round on 8 November, in which they will dance for a celebrity judging panel. The top 10 will be competing in an effort to defeat the current champions, Amabhubhesi Nqabakazulu.Cash prizes Also up for grabs is a R10 000 cash prize as well as a contract to perform at uShaka Marine World during peak season. Runners-up will also receive exciting prizes, as well as cash packages of R3000 for second place and R2000 for third place. Also included in this event is the Zulu Cultural Fair, which will take place in Village Walk featuring performance artists, as well as Zulu crafters displaying and selling their beadwork, ceramics, cane weaving, woodwork, leather items and traditional skins, sponsored by the Department of Arts and Culture.
