[Loeries 2009] Hob-nobbing at the Collective Films Villa brunch

Those in the Mother City for Loeries 2009 woke up to a dreary overcast day on Saturday, 26 September 2009, the festivities however, apart from the beach soccer, refused to subside. Collective Films hosted a brunch for the who's who of the creative industry at the chic, luxurious setting at the Camps Bay Villa.
While the weather didn't allow guests to lounge around the shimmering pool for too long, many were comfortable sipping drinks - ranging from coffee to vodka - and munching on delicious-looking pastries and quiche squares around the patio table, safely under shelter from the rain. The midday gathering became even better when delectable sushi was laid out on the table. Guests socialised while the kitchen's chefs kept them satisfied by producing dish after dish.

It was a warm atmosphere with spirits still high in anticipation, no doubt, of the awards ceremony that evening. DJ Rene helped keep the vibe relaxed with some soothing smooth tunes with help from some instrumental accompaniment. It was a great way to start the day and Collective Films' guests were more than happy to be treated so hospitably to great company, fantastic food along with some great scenic views.
