    Hygiene takes centre stage

A series of music concerts will be held at various venues in Soweto, as part of Siyabangena concepts. The six concerts will be staged in a bid to educate people about the importance of hygiene.

The Siyabangena Music Concerts will be used to promote the community-driven concept.

Siyabangena brand manager, Nasiha Patel said: "This is another way of bringing the community together. We will be hosting music events that feature the country's best musicians promoting Securex, which is an anti-germ soap.

"We want to bring the product closer to the community.

"People are required to buy two Securex soaps and one Mac (dish-washing liquid or washing powder) and then use them as concert tickets.

"There are lots of prizes to be won, including a car."

The first of the concerts will be held on February 25 and the series will run until March 31.

The first event will take place at the Emndeni Sports Complex with artists such as Dr Malinga, DJ Fresca and Winnie Mashaba will entertain music lovers.

On March 3, Siyabangena will be staged live at D Mary Sports Grounds in Dobsonville. The entertainment line-up includes DJ Fresca and Character.

The March 3 concert will be held at the Godfrey Moloi Sports Complex in Mapetla when Professor Langa and Fresca will perform.

The fun moves to Diepkloof Park on March 17, when Winnie Khumalo and DJ Fresca will take to the stage.

On March 24, Siyabangena will be staged at Maponya Mall, at Extreme Park in Diepkloof Zone 2. DJs Oskido and Nono will spin the discs.

The last leg will be held at Elkah Sports Ground, where the artist of the moment, Zahara, will be starring. All events start at 1.30pm.
