Three categories, Sport Fan, Sport Personality and Sport Programme have been open for voting for the past few months, once again placing the fate of each finalist in the public's hands and voting lines are closed.
A dedicated SMS voting line had been set up for this purpose and in order to vote, the public needs to send GSA14 and their favourite finalist's code to 33525. As an additional feature of this year's proceedings, each vote sent via SMS has automatically entered each voter into a random draw to stand a chance to win a car. The result of the draw will be announced on the night.
This year's awards have something special in-store for the chosen sports personality - a diamond encrusted gold plated trophy to the value of R350,000.
This year, great emphasis was placed on the national unity sport has cultivated in South Africa, which has once again been proven by the amazing finalists who have been recognised by the voting public for their contribution to nation building.
