In its seventh year, the event is a German-themed entertainment event modelled on the annual Oktoberfest, which is held in Munich, Germany. The Bierfest offers guests German-style food and drinks all served by costume dressed ‘Frauleins’ (waitresses) and ‘Bier boys’ (waiters). This is the first year that the Tops at Spar Bierfest has partnered with the Cape Brewing Company, one of South Africa’s independent craft breweries.
“The Tops at Spar Bierfest is a favourite amongst many Suncoasters and Durbanites, it’s the perfect place to catch up with friends, family and loved ones over some great German cuisine. This year the event is not only bigger and better but it will also be taking place on the beach front at the Sundeck, with perfect views of the Durban promenade and the Indian Ocean.
