Mint, The Local Grill will be hosting a Sunday Jazz Lunch featuring executive chef Shyam Longani’s famous Easter specialities, including baked kingklip with pickled baby onions, potato fondant and cauliflower purée. The á la carte menu also includes wild mushroom risotto, pressed oxtail with pumpkin puree and sweet potato crisps. A saxophonist will entertain guests from noon on 25 March 2016.
For guests looking to indulge in something a bit lighter, Taj hosts a daily afternoon tea in the Lobby Lounge and 25 to 28 March, the Easter theme will be Sugar and Spice. Traditional dishes like pickled fish, smoked snoek, potato samoosas and corn and rosemary muffins will feature in the selection served between 14.00 and 17.00, with original Indian chai tea served for guests to enjoy. The afternoon tea will cost R225 per person and R110 for children aged 4 to 12.
Jiva Grande Spa is renowned for its authentic Indian treatments which calm and reinvigorate the mind and body. This Easter Jiva will host a specialised Jagr ‘awakening’ treatment which will erase any fatigue and restore energy lost through daily stressful activities, valid from 1 to 31 March. Guests can enjoy a warm foot cleansing ritual, followed by a relaxing Indian head massage which is combined with an energising back massage. The experience ends with a traditional warm chai tea in the tranquil relation room. The treatment will last for an hour and 15 minutes and cost R795 a person.
