Synergy Live's back with a massive line-up

Synergy Live is a three-day, summer outdoor music festival from 27 - 29 November 2009 at the historic and beautiful Boschendal Wine Estate in the heart of the Franschoek Winelands. It's a weekend of camping out, surrounded by mountains and immersed in the sounds of 60 top South African bands, live acts and electro artists.
It's been seven years since the last Synergy Live Music Festival and in 2009, it's been promised to be bigger and better than before. Described as the party that moulded a generation and showed them what it was like to get lost in a crowd of like-minded souls: dance the night away: party like it was the last day on earth - let's hope it lives up to all the hype.

Main stage - Bigger is better

The focus of the festival. The centre of attention. A state-of-the art outdoor concert stage that's home to more than 20 of SA's hottest, most happening live bands and musos. Touch, feel, hear and see the Synergy philosophy: bigger is better. Start rocking round lunchtime, keep going 'til midnight. For three whole days. That's how we roll at Synergy live.

Electro-dome - The sound bubble

Here's where you try to stand still but your body won't let you Think airwave warriors, vinyl junkies gettin' a fix, DJ heaven, underground beats from clubland's elite; live acts - plugged. Its electronic art: house, electro, techno, drum & bass; sounds you never knew existed.

The main bar stage - Time to unwind

Pull yourself towards yourself. Rehydrate. Loads of help on hand working the lengths of a massive bar mean you'll never wait long for a tipple. Chill out in comfort in the bar lounge, hook up with your mates. For laid-back vibes while you're laying low, retro re-mix-masters playing an eclectic mix of all things 80s, 90s, old school, funk and rocknrolla: up and coming local acts live and unplugged. Go on, have a double…

The marketplace - To dance you need energy

Energy comes from food - and Synergy comes with festival cuisine: from schwarma and pizza to gourmet eats and Asian delights: do it in style and book a Boschendal piqnique basket: peruse the wine bar: catch grass in your toes; stare at the clouds, have a snooze. Wake up, have breakfast or a cappuccino : This is what balmy summer weekends were made for.

Multimedia zone - The geodesic theatre

A place to laugh, a place to learn, a place to connect with others - and yourself. Theatre sports, cult classics on the big screen and the Heart of Healing experience: expand your understanding in the Conscious Cinema with doccie classics like Zeitgeist and Sicko. Step up on the soapbox and share ideas with like-minded souls who want to build a better world.

The fairground - Unleash your inner child

Feel the wind in your hair and just let yourself go! It wouldn't be Synergy without the fun fair: the very best circus acts, carnival rides, death-defying acts gathered from all around the country; bungees that go backwards. Just scream if you want to go faster!

Merchandise tent - Concert collectables

Check out the merchandise stalls: Buy a cd or T-shirt. Stash your gear in the locker-room, recharge your batteries - and do the same for your cellphone at the power point stations. Meet the band. Take home more than memories

Camping - Home away from home

Driving's a drag, rather stay the night - or the whole weekend. Full camping facilities, plenty of room and creature comforts so there's no excuse not to drive in, park off, pitch your crib and settle in like a local. Hot showers, lockers and toilets tended 24/3: clean, safe and secure.

Full weekend early bird tickets available on line through webtickets at www.webtickets.co.za at R290 per ticket.
