ghd, the international hair beauty brand, recently hosted ghd revelations a fashion event that allowed guests to explore living fashion scenes and installations throughout the interior and grounds of a historic Cape building.
The event was crafted in collaboration with MAC Cosmetics, theatre director Craig Leo, David Tlale and other local fashion designers.

With leading décor stylists Marianne Burk and Tina Marie, as well as the very talented fashion stylist, Marie Groenewald, on board, guests were drawn into a highly stylised performance brought together by some of South Africa's top creatives.

Guests explored the living fashion scenes and installations throughout the interior and grounds of a historic Cape building, each interconnected scene telling a story of passion, unravelled mystery and revelations.

Known for spectacular collaborations

A first of its kind for ghd, a brand renowned for its spectacular collaborations with creative talents across the globe, including designer shows at New York, London and Australian fashion weeks.

“ghd revelations celebrated the craft of South Africa's leading hair stylists alongside avant garde local fashion in a unique fashion performance space,” said Rene Price, MD of ghd South Africa.

Adding to the exclusivity of the experience, guests were directed to a dedicated microsite to apply for an invitation. Within just a few weeks, we were inundated with applications and comments from fashionistas across the country hoping to make it on to the final guest list, selected at random one week before.

Images and video footage from ghd Revelations will be made available on www.ghdstylediary.co.za soon.
