PocketMedia® Solutions has designed and produced a novel marketing solution, in partnership with media and marketing site MarkLives.com and seed provider Reel Gardening, which will be launched at Design Indaba at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, 26-28 February 2014.
The initiative is designed to highlight marketing solutions that will help businesses grow in 2014 through a combination of pertinent marketing and advertising facts, and the introduction of organically fertilised seed paper strips from Reel Gardening to delegates.

The new PocketMedia® application, which will be distributed inside Design Indaba goodie bags, contains the latest advertising and marketing industry trends as collated by MarkLives.com, the fast-growing advertising and marketing trade site that is also known for its strong business journalism. The application provides information about 2013's agency leaders -the top agency in South Africa and in Johannesburg and Cape Town - and the Top10 Google Trends in various categories, including searches, events, people, brands, politicians, women, technology and brands. PocketMedia® Solutions also brought Reel Gardening into the partnership as it celebrates growth through sustainable design.
"The PocketMedia® application has been produced with a pouch on the inside so that we can showcase Reel Gardening's organically fertilised seed paper by placing actual samples of the product into the pouch," says John Davis, the managing director of PocketMedia® Solutions.
Reel Gardening's seed strips are encased in biodegradable, custom-made paper tape, spaced at the correct distance apart for direct planting.
"The paper anchors the seeds at the correct depth in the soil, for improved germination, and enables localized watering, leading to a potential saving of 80% in water consumption," explains Claire Reed, the founder of Reel Gardening.
"Our blister packs and seed paper, of which we have numerous varieties, also serve as a media platform for our clients who want to brand them to keep their company top-of-mind during the planting process," says Reed.
