On Saturday, 10 November, Good Hope FM will host the Good Hope FM Rev Life: Landmark Extreme Lifestyle event that heads to Cape Town's Killarney Race Track from 7am to 11pm. Visitors can prepare themselves for an adrenalin-fuelled Motorfest family fun day.
Good Hope FM in collaboration with South Africa's premier drift exhibition team D1S will set fire to Cape Town's Killarney Racetrack this Saturday. This landmark event will feature South Africa's top 32 Drifters, along with the best from neighbouring Mozambique battling it out for top honours against each other, in what has to be the most epic Drift battle to ever take place on South African soil.
The judging panel will be run by Ernest Page, prominent WPMC member and announcer, and Pro Drifter. He will be joined by the husband and wife team of Brenton and Jennifer Gregory. The day will also feature SA's premier drifting exhibition team, D1S performing and sequence together with SA stunt bike rider, Brian Capper.
For straight line fans, the quickest cars over a ¼ mile will be eager to show their best in the Regional MSA Drags. The drag action will also include invited guests Boetie Budler (Budler Motorsport), Hannes Minnaar (Minnaar Racing Developments), Arthur "AJ" Joubert (AJ Racing) and Steve Clark (No Sweat Racing), who will naturally be accompanied by their lightning-quick drag machines.
For the more street able cars, the very popular Street2Strip drag racing will also be taking place on the day. Sound junkies will also have a rare chance to break World Records as IASCA will be arriving in Cape Town to host the ultimate sound-off after a long absence. Accompanying them will be the Castrol Mobile Dyno where horsepower freaks can strap their machines to the rollers and see just how much power they are capable of.
Another totally new element to Killarney events is the Lifestyle Exhibition space that will be filled with the latest trends in technology, performance, and car culture trends. For those wanting to do more than just watch, the Go-Kart short track will be available for show-goers to strap themselves in and race till their hearts content.
Miss Rev Life 2012 will provide eye candy of another kind, when 10 of the hottest girls in Cape Town entertain spectators whilst they compete for the most coveted prize amongst female petrol heads. The Good Hope FM Weekend Breakfast show, the Good Hope FM Top 30, the Teen Show, the Freakin Weekend and The 411 shows will all be broadcasting live from Killarney to connect listeners to the action from 6am to 10pm and Good Hope FM will also be hosting the free on-track after party.
Look out for pre-event registration and "meet & greets" where the D1S promo ladies will be on hand to pre-sell you tickets for race day so you can witness history in the making. R60 gets you in and kids under 12 enter free. VIP access costs R120 and includes dedicated entry and exit with parking, an all access pass and dedicated VIP areas with cash bars. Tickets are available from Computicket only.
