BHP Billiton "Laduma Together"

The theme "Laduma Together" was chosen as the campaign coincided with the FIFA Soccer World Cup.

The professional team of Collyer Lessick were called in to conceptualise and project manage the campaign as well as ensure that all dealings with suppliers and the guest logistics were handled efficiently and effectively.

The campaign also offered several reward and recognition opportunities for the performing divisions.

Each of the plants received a schedule designed to create the opportunity for all staff members to attend sessions whereby the Laduma project was discussed and explained by the HOD's and Superintendents.

Adding to the party atmosphere the venue was transformed into a simulated soccer stadium and the mood created was that of a real soccer match with cheering, chanting, singing and roaring that are a staple of soccer games the world over. The environment was infectious and created loads of friendly banter between the various teams.

Each staff member that attended the session received a soccer shirt and a lunch hamper. Football freestylers rotated between the main gate, staff gate and the venue where the presentations were held. Foosball tables that were dotted around the venue proved very popular and were thoroughly enjoyed by all the participants. The electronic scoreboard will continue to be used as a measurement against performance.
