Collyer Lessick & Associates has achieved a BBBEE rating of Level 2 Contributor after a BEE audit conducted by the National Empowerment Rating Agency of South Africa.
Collyer Lessick and Associates (Pty) Ltd, based in Johannesburg and with offices in the UAE, is delighted with the achievement of such a high level recognition of its efforts at achieving real broad based black economic empowerment for all its stakeholders.
General Manager, Niall Gahan, said that this constitutes an independent endorsement of the personal philosophy and efforts that have been made by the founders of the company. Both Neil Lessick and Michael Collyer have had a personal objective of building an all inclusive company that not only sought to achieve the highest standards of excellence in Event Management, Brand Building and Experiential Marketing, but that also sought to do so in a way that benefitted people who were previously disadvantaged.
Even before BEE and BBBEE scorecards became the norm, Collyer Lessick had made it part of its strategy to bring on board people from South Africa's diverse population groups as active participants in the staffing, management, control and ownership of the company. The company has from its inception also paid very close attention to community issues by being involved in a range of charities and efforts such as education and HIV/AIDS awareness. These have included donation of books to schools in poorer areas, involvement in AIDS Causes and especially contributing to causes surrounding abandoned and orphaned children.
