For the first time in South Africa, IE Business School, renowned internationally, has partnered with South African companies iShack Digital Consultancy and Next Generation Lab, to introduce a series of venture networking events allowing start-ups, venture capitalists and angel investors to bring their ideas and expertise together.
After a successful launch of Venture Network Demo Day at the Impact Hub Johannesburg this past May, the next Venture Network event will take place on 30 July 2014 at Seed Engine.
Venture Network Johannesburg allows self-starters to pitch and showcase their work, develop new networks and entice influential investors. The concept of a focused networking event is to utilise the different entities that form a rich information startup community whether you are an entrepreneur or investor. The event is not only about the "moola" though; it is a celebration of how entrepreneurship is shaping the future.
Venture Network Johannesburg takes pride in brining together diverse teams from a range of different industries together, each lending their lessons from failure or successes. The last Venture Networking event hosted Paul's Homemade Ice-Cream, Car match, Beyond the Lemonade Stand, Quainted and many others!
The upcoming event at the end of this month will have guest speakers from Grovest and the Department of trade and Industry, among interesting start-ups.
