King of events management, Otto de Jager, received his rose in honour of constantly surpassing floral styling in his events. Perfectly shaped hybrid tea buds open to massive, deep cerise pink shaded red blooms. The outer petals reflex as they unfold with the inside showing the typical full incurved petals. These blooms are carried on strong tall stems - perfect for any event and displays beautiful in a vase. The bush will easily grow to shoulder height, providing many blooms for show. Since the launch of the rose it has become one of Ludwig's most popular sellers and they are planting more and more bushes of this stunning rose every season. The proceeds of this rose will be donated to a charity of choice yearly.
This rose was bred by Ludwig's Roses, with its parentage lying in 'Ingrid Bergman
' and 'Rooi Rose
', both known as fantastic garden cut roses, disease tolerance, good reflowering ability and beauty.
It is proving itself in many a garden planted as a tough rose and soon becoming a favourite as a tall garden rose and cut flower. Ludwig's Roses will be going into large-scale cut rose production with it - as part of the 'antico-garden rose collection'. It has been noticed that clients tend to pick up this rose, with its exuberant colour and size - even when standing next to some of SA's favourites like Just Joey and Double Delight in full bloom.
