She is currently starring alongside Golden Globe winner Idris Elba and current Bond girl Naomie Harris in the keenly awaited Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, which is set to hit the big screen next year.

"This is one film the world's been waiting for and we all want to be a part of the story of a hero," said Pheto.

Adding to her accolades, Pheto also made her way onto an international soap set, playing Dr Malaika Maponya in The Bold and the Beautiful.

Off the screen, she also launched her company, Leading Lady Productions in 2010 and has proclaimed 2013 to be the year of "Terry Pheto, the visionary and businesswoman".
