Tvplus magazine is delighted to announce Jared Orlin as new deputy editor of Media24's entertainment title as from 19 November 2012.
Jared brings his vast wealth of celebrity and entertainment expertise to tvplus, which includes more than a decade's worth of experience writing and editing for magazines. "Ink definitely runs through my veins," Jared says. "I'm enthralled by the process of putting a magazine together - from briefing the journalists to signing off the cover on deadline day. I'm looking forward to bringing that to tvplus, a magazine I've been buying for many years."
Lucia Swart-Walters, editor of tvplus, says she is sure Jared will not only be a great contribution to the team, but will also assist in steering the magazine in the new direction it took since she became editor. "We welcome Jared as part of the tvplus family with open arms. He is a complete TV fanatic and knows local and international shows inside out."
Jared's career milestones include entertainment editor of YOU magazine, a position he held for over four years, as well as sub-editor at People magazine and PR specialist for the national commercial hit radio station, 5FM. Jared also hosts his own celebrity-themed radio show 'The A-List' on digital radio station, 2OceansVibe Radio, and gives regular celebrity commentary on etv's breakfast show, 'Sunrise'.
