New youth magazine for high schools

14 Feb 2011 09:26Submit a commentBizLike
Next Level Management Services will be launching a monthly youth publication for Grade 10 - 12 and FET colleges called Hola maHigh-school. The magazine is reliant on the endorsement by the Departments of Education (DoE) in the provinces for its existence.
Through the print media, it aims to reach youth by having the magazine written for, by the youth of South Africa.

The magazine is intended to be a monthly publication, serving two strategies. One part is to promote reading, writing and usage of all the skills learned (from all subjects) in writing articles for the magazine. The content is therefore to be provided by the learners in the FET band in the long run.

The magazine is also intended to be the Department's channel of communication to educators and learners.

For its first issue, the magazine seeks young writers (16-25) to talk on life skills and in particular career guidance. Proposed content will cover the lifestyles and ambitions of young learners across a wide channel of information. For more information, call Sybil Otterstrom on +27 (0) 11 614 5046
