One thing is clear from this year's FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2008 competition: “local is definitely lekker - and sexy too”. Nine of the top 10 women on the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2008 reader poll are South African!
And topping that luscious list as FHM Sexiest Woman in South Africa 2008, is none other than super-hot, blonde bombshell Tracy McGregor!
Tracy, an FHM cover girl and FHM Calendar 2008 stunner, was announced as the winner of this highly sought-after award at a vibey. rocking event at Hemisphere Club in Cape Town on Thursday 15 May 2008. The event drew a VIP crowd of more than 350 people - the who's who of the local modelling and celebrity worlds.
“I loved the party at Hemisphere,” said an overwhelmed Tracy on Friday morning, after her win. “I felt like the most important girl in the world and I am so honoured to be FHM's Sexiest Woman in South Africa for 2008!”
The Cape Town beauty took the title after she won a large portion of the 300 000 votes cast by FHM readers. That's 100 000 votes more than last year, proving that sexy is as popular as ever!
Tracy is the sister of former Wonderbra model and FHM 100 Sexiest Woman in South Africa 2003 Kerry McGregor, proving their good looks are all in the genes. This is the first time in FHM history that two sisters have both won the coveted title of FHM Sexiest Woman and we, as South Africans, are proud to lay claim to that fact.
Other local models at the top end of the poll were former winners Lee-Ann Liebenberg and Tanya Van Graan, FHM covergirl Joëlle Kayembe, current Wonderbra beauty Lieschen Botes and FHM Homegrown Honeys winner Maxzell Lerm.
Tracy will appear on the cover of the August issue of FHM!
