Adam Cooke appointed Men's Health Living editor

Adam Cooke has been appointed editor of Men's Health Living magazine, replacing Piers Buckle, who recently resigned from his post to form independent creative agency TypeFace Media together with Andy Ellis, who has also quit as editor of Men's Health.

Touchline Media is still interviewing candidates for the Men's Health editor post.

Jason Brown, Men's Health group editorial director, says, "I am confident that under Cooke's editorship Men's Health Living will continue its amazing growth. This unique product has sparked worldwide interest and Cooke takes over at an exciting time for the brand."

Cooke's experience includes being Men's Health deputy editor for more than four years and most recently as division head of the Editorial Excellence department launched by Touchline Media last year.

Cooke began his journalistic career as a reporter for The Star newspaper in 1995. Then, after gaining magazine experience at You and Drum, he was appointed as associate editor at GQ magazine before eventually joining the Touchline Media group as managing editor of Men's Health and then subsequently deputy editor.

TypeFace Media

With a combined experience of 20 years in magazine design, art direction, feature writing and editing, Ellis and Buckle intend to continue exploiting their current partnership and complementary skills in the creation of print and digital media for the publishing and commercial market.

TypeFace Media will focus on:
  • Special project editing of magazines and supplements, including consulting for launches, relaunches or redesigns of magazines for publishers of consumer and customer titles.
  • Delivery of commissioned content (feature writing and design) to consumer and customer magazines.
  • Delivery of commissioned content (writing and design) to digital mediums.
  • Copy writing and creative design concepts for brand and company communications.
  • Concept creation
