Xylem's new MD aims to structure growth of company

With the appointment of Vincent Chirouze as its new managing director, Xylem South Africa is set to expand its business further into the African continent, while remaining committed to the needs of its customers.

Hailing from a strong background in telecommunications, and with hands-on experience in customer relations management, Chirouze was the clear choice to bring about an even stronger focus on customer needs within Xylem South Africa. "Xylem has always engineered superior, robust products that suit its clients' individual needs," Chirouze explains. "Listening to our customers and giving them what they want is a major focus for our team."

Close relationship with customers

Being an electrical engineer by trade and having worked in varying fields, Chirouze has the keen ability to instil customer-focussed values in the teams he works with, while remaining cognisant of Xylem's key differentiators from an engineering perspective. "Xylem is a global leader in water technology, and this is initially what attracted me to this position, along with the fact that I would be able to see how the products I work with are used to directly improve people's lives."

Chirouze's mission is to structure the growth of the organisation, continually promoting its activities, opening new sites and to bring Xylem closer to its customers' sites. He has spent several years working and living in the Middle East and Africa, so working with Xylem South Africa is a natural fit for him. "I also look forward to helping to build the Xylem brand and to continually growing our business." While Xylem has had phenomenal success over the past few years, Chirouze is poised to harness these past successes and to build on them.
