Those who love the outdoors and adventure can sign up for mountain biking, horseback riding as well as guided river fishing. Golf fanatics will definitely be spending some time on the upgraded golf course. Those with a strong arm can participate in a game of bowls, whilst sun-lovers can lounge next to or take a dip in the heated pool.

High on the agenda for Premier Hotel Sani Pass was to create an opportunity for even more guests to experience the hotel. This need will be answered by 120 brand new rooms. Add to this the new 300-seater conference room - an ideal venue for a business get-together.

From 3-star to 4-star status

“The refurbishment will see Premier Hotel Sani Pass advance from 3-star to 4-star status, with a 5-star offering. A key focus point for the project will be providing entertainment facilities for families, including a new Wellness Centre, gym, spa, and cinema. Our aim is to offer facilities to cater for every need, from lifestyle, holiday, kids and couples. Our in-house renovations include air-conditioning installed in all of the facilities and rooms, Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and garden rooms outside the main hotel building,” says Samuel Nassimov, managing director of Premier Hotels & Resorts.

He further notes that over the Easter and December periods, a variety of activities will be offered for teenagers and children while entertainment is offered for the adults. “The hotel is the perfect accommodation option for large sporting events such as Sani Stagger and Sani2C that take place throughout the year. In order to accommodate the influx of guests, all rooms can be transformed into singles in order to accommodate more people per room.”

With its state of the art building, The Premier Hotel Sani Pass, which opened its doors in 1958, is not just a leader in development in the area, it is a first for the Sani Pass region and truly compliments the Drakensberg and its beauty.

Growing and evolving

Nassimov goes on to say, "the tourism industry within South Africa is one that is continuously growing and evolving. With this revamp we want to develop a resort that not only attracts tourists but the locals as well, in order to provide them with a home away from home. When developing a new property, or upgrading an existing one, I take great pride in restoring a rundown building to glory. Premier Hotels & Resorts is a creation, developed from passion and a need to do things differently, and our Sani Pass resort is a true testament to this as it will be our flagship hotel."

The Hotel strives to be professional, passionate, caring and empowering and encourages innovation and engagement. “We are a learning organisation committed to the retention and development of our people. It is an essential part of our vision of ‘Where guests become friends’: to build strong, respectful and enduring guest relationships,” concludes Nassimov.
