CPD accreditation for Camargue lab training

With Regulatory and the Key Individual exams now a prerequisite for operation in the industry, as well as continuing professional development, Camargue responded to the pressing need for education and skills transfer with the launch of its LAB in 2012. Since its launch, in excess of 1800 brokers have been trained countrywide free of charge and it's anticipated that this number will dramatically escalate in the year ahead now that the courses are CPD accredited.

Insurance has become increasingly complex and it is said to be almost impossible for a broker to build and maintain a competence in every area of commercial insurance. Camargue believes that knowledge is power: its LAB training sessions will provide that knowledge and build the skill level of brokers across the country, while also providing much needed technical support.

Driver of the Camargue LAB training, John Stebbing says: "Through our training, we set out to demystify liability insurance, while also empowering brokers with the knowledge to sell niche liability products.

"Once a broker possesses a better understanding of a product, the easier it becomes to sell that product. We are incredibly pleased that the IISA has recognised the value of our training through its accreditation of these courses."

Five of Camargue's seminars have been approved including:

• Directors and Officers Liability - one CPD hour
  
• Employment Practices Liability - one CPD hour
  
• Broadform General Liability - one CPD hour
  
• Commercial Crime Insurance Seminar - one CPD hour
  
• PI Liability (incl Medical Malpractice) - two CPD hours
