The multimillion rand project is good news for job creation, as it will also support the local mining industry.

Water and Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa and North West Premier Thandi Modise officiated the launch, which took place in Ntswana le Metsi village outside Rustenburg.

The launch follows hot on the heels of the launch of De Hoop Dam in Limpopo, which will benefit more than 800,000 people in the Sekhukhune region.
