Fresh Plaza portal reports that exhibitors were invited to book exhibition space at the Undercover Farming Expo and Conference, taking place from 5 to 7 March 2013. The exhibition follows the successful inaugural Undercover Farming Expo held in Gauteng earlier this year.
Undercover Farming Expo exhibition manager Hanlie Delport says that 93% of exhibitors in this year's expo said they were happy with the quality of visitors who attended the event, while 94.1% said they will exhibit again in 2013. The event focuses on the farming industries and offers intensive farming techniques. "It is an excellent information source for current and potential producers and buyers of vegetables, flowers, fruit and seedlings [which are] produced under protective cover, as well as for the industry suppliers", Delport told Fresh Plaza portal.

According to the event's website, between 3000 and 4000 SA farmers apply covered methods to their farming practice as they strive to cope with less water, higher temperatures, pollution and increased dryness of soil. Fresh Plaza reports that with covered farming the growth season is extended and income is increased. www.undercoverfarmingexpo.co.za
