according to the foodingredientsfirst.com, report, Arcadia's NUE technology aims to crops to maintain high yields while requiring much less nitrogen fertilizer. It is hoped that combining this technology with SASRI's genetic resources will enable the development of high-yielding sugarcane that could require about half the amount of nitrogen fertilizer as conventional sugarcane, offering economic benefits to growers.

SASRI services South African sugarcane growers and millers and, under the terms of the agreement, SASRI receives exclusive research rights to use Arcadia's nitrogen technology in sugarcane in Africa.
