Special sections | Disinfecting toothbrushes the light wayViolight system, recently launched in South Africa, is reported to eliminate up to 99.9% of bacteria that thrive on toothbrushes and cause transferral of bacteria and viruses. The system uses a germicidal UV bulb, a similar technology used in hospitals to kill germs.  A blue-violet glow lets one know the sanitizer is working. The entire process takes minutes and when finished, the bulb automatically shuts off and the toothbrush is fresh, clean and protected for the next time. The range includes personal, family and travel product options and can sanitize a regular or electric toothbrush. In addition, the razor sanitizer is now available exclusively through distributor Calora. A select range of products is available at selected Clicks stores, priced from R249,95; with the full colour range and razor sanitizers available exclusively through www.violight.co.za.
