New editor for Fin24

Fin24 has a new editor. Fadia Salie is now at the helm of Fin24, South Africa's largest source of business, financial and economic news.
A journalist for more than two decades, Salie worked extensively in print and online media before spending some time in corporate communications.

She started her career at Die Burger as a junior reporter and worked her way up to senior financial journalist before leaving to explore online financial content management, at a time when the internet was still fairly new in South Africa.

From there Salie shifted between print and online, from personal finance editor at Jou Geldsake - SakeBurger to content editor at Fin24, before joining Sanlam as communications practitioner.

"The short four-and-half year stint at Sanlam gave me insight into how things are on the other side of the fence... how important brand and reputation management is for big corporates, and the importance they attach to all stakeholders - shareholders, their clients, their staff." says Salie. "These were valuable lessons that made me cognisant of what make corporates tick when reporting on companies, that I can now employ in my new role at Fin24." she adds.
