The annual non-profit ceremony awards bloggers worldwide.

Generally, I do it because I hope to be one of the finalist (like in the 2008 Bloggies) because those lists stay up there with a link to your blog indefinitely. So the international (and even local!) exposure is what it's all about to me. "That said, winning is fantastic and I'm enjoying the increased traffic and hoping to snag a few new regular readers from it, even though I'm well aware that my blog won't appeal to everyone. The Bloggies is the longest-running blog awards running on the web. All nominations, finalists and votes are decided by the general public. The SXSW Interactive Festival (www.sxsw.com) is a five-day event featuring panel content and parties aiming to attract digital creatives and technology entrepreneurs.
