Careers24, South Africa's leading online recruitment portal recently hit record highs in terms of user engagement reaching over 1.2 million monthly visitors to the site in January 2014 - a year on year growth of 113%, which puts it squarely at the top of the job portal pile.

Since 26 February, recruiters have also been able to benefit from major upgrades to the job portal with the launch of vast improvements to the recruitment service. The upgrades have been designed to streamline the recruitment process.

New features that will benefit the recruiter
  • Improved search functionality that now includes filtering and additional categories.
  • Easier shortlisting and filtering functionalities.
  • A bulk function for managing and sorting candidates.
  • Notes and detailed candidate history across users of the same account.
  • Daily or weekly notifications to keep recruiters constantly updated on the recruitment process.
"The recruitment process can be both time and resource demanding, whether you are a recruiter or candidate, which is why we've put a lot of emphasis on making the process as easy as possible," says Marc Privett, GM of Careers24, "With these upgrades, recruiters can look forward to improved candidate searches and advanced, but easy-to-use application management tools."

Careers24:

Established in 2005, Careers24 is one of South Africa's leading online career portals, listing thousands of jobs from a vast selection of recruiters and attracting over 827,000 unique job seekers to the website monthly.

Today's job market is increasingly competitive and the match between position and job seeker depends on the ability to appropriately cross reference CVs with job requirements for that magical career fit.

The portal therefore offers recruiters a cost-effective platform and the opportunity for seamless interaction with job seekers; and job seekers an active, credible recruitment portal for maximum exposure.

CV customisation allows the site to assist candidates in finding the positions best suited to them. They are only shown job recommendations based on their profile and will soon be able to receive notifications based on their previous applications or applications by candidates with similar profiles - all of which makes their job search faster and more efficient. Recruiters in turn are alerted to CVs that match the criteria of their recruitment brief.

With continuous investment in technology, the innovative tools and easy-to-use functionality ensure an intuitive and accessible user experience.

Careers24 forms part of the Naspers Group which owns companies such as DSTV, MWEB and Media24. Jobs are therefore distributed across a network of leading sites including News24.com, MWEB and OLX.co.za.

Careers24 is online at http://www.careers24.com, on Twitter @careers24jobs and on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Careers24.
