Crystal Award for Uwin Iwin Incentives

This year's Crystal Awards Recognition Program included new categories to reflect Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE)'s heightened focus on the importance of business results and responsible programming. One of these was the Most Outstanding Sustainable Incentive Event category, which was scooped by Huw Tuckett, operations director of Uwin Iwin Incentives.

What made this winning incentive a totally unique experience was the fact that every element was tailor-made to suit the client's needs. The experience exceeded the incentive ethos of “creating an experience an individual could not replicate on his/her own”.

The client, Momentum Myriad, wanted a reward programme that would increase sales, motivate participants and reward the top performers. Uwin Iwin Incentives took what started out as a luxury weekend getaway and incorporated a socially responsible element of intrigue and excitement – Winners in Motion.

In the heart of the Botswana bushveld, the culmination of this once-in-a-lifetime experience included active involvement in placing tracking collars on two wild elephants. A significant benefit of the tracking collars purchased for this event is that they can be tracked via the Internet and many attendees still log on to the tracking website to monitor the progress and movements of the elephants.

This aspect has extended the life of the reward program beyond the weekend and into the culture of the company as the top performers have remained interactive with their incentive long after it has ended.
