NEWSWATCH: In parliament last Tuesday, 26 August, reports BD Live, Communications Minister Faith Muthambi evaded answering opposition MPs' questions on the appointment of SABC COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng, who has been labelled a 'pathetic liar' by the general secretary of the Creative Workers Union of SA, reports IOL.

The position of Chief Operations Officer at the SABC was advertised in Sunday Times on 3 February 2013 (view the advert here). The advert clearly states the position of Chief Operations Officer at the SABC requires a relevant degree or diploma for the position. In fact, under the subheading Requirements, the very first requirement is "A relevant degree/diploma and/or equivalent qualification".
