Sponsorship opportunities still available at the 2008 SAMRA Conference
Issued by: SAMRA

The 2008 SAMRA Conference, which will take place from 27 to 28 May 2008 at the Royal Swazi Sun in Swaziland's Ezulwini Valley, offers sponsors the opportunity of achieving exposure to the researchers, research users, marketers and members of the media attending the event.

The focus of the 2008 SAMRA Conference is ‘new' – new research developments, new research thinking, new research technology and new research methods. The list of ‘new' topics that will be discussed in the 20 papers presented at the conference includes:
  • packaging design
  • consumer motivation and brand image measurement
  • consumer insights and shopper segments
  • anthropogenic climate change in the South African economic and social environment
  • brand use increase (or decrease) prediction, defining and measuring social capital
  • copy testing, data calibration and advanced weighting
  • computer simulations and agent based modelling
  • market barriers to brand purchases (FMCG)
  • employee commitment, driver models, heuristic decision rules and choice predictions
  • a hybrid research design used to understand consumer behaviour
  • affective measures and ‘emotional' understanding
  • social networking among consumers
  • identifying opportunities through grocery shopping dynamics
  • sponsorship effectiveness
  • attitudinal brand loyalty
  • how some brands/concepts become rapidly popular

Thanks to sponsorships from Millward Brown, TNS Research Surveys and Research International three fascinating international quest speakers are set to intrigue delegates and provoke debate at the 2008 SAMRA Conference – James Fergusson, who'll be discussing online marketing research, Nigel Hollis, whose presentation will look at how heuristics can be used to understand brand choices, and Rory Morgan, whose presentation focuses on brand iconicity.

Many of the sponsorships at the conference have been snapped up; however there are a few sponsorship opportunities still available for companies who wish to achieve brand exposure to SAMRA Conference delegates.

Some of the prestigious sponsorship opportunities still available include gift hampers for delegates on registration, the African Sunset themed dinner, as well as the gala dinner. These are opportunities that shouldn't be missed. For more information on sponsorship opportunities and the conference please call Kerry Oliver on 011 704 7770 or e-mail samra@thelime.co.za.
