Mortimer Harvey celebrates 21st

Mortimer Harvey's recent 21st birthday celebration at its home in Paulshof provided great excitement and cause for celebration as the agency welcomed clients and long standing friends, past, present and future to raise a glass to a truly independent South African success in the advertising and communication arena.
Founded in 1991 Mortimer Harvey began with a specialist focus in BTL and trade marketing. As the agency began to develop long standing relationships with its clients, demand increased to expand its service offering. As a result the agency has seen significant growth in its offering to become a truly integrated, 360 communications agency that now includes, Direct and CRM, Digital, Shopper Marketing, PR and with LM&P eventing and activations.

Growth included the acquisition of LM&P in 1999 that provided access to an event and activations competency. Mortimer Harvey was also one of the early pioneers into digital by introducing this discipline in 2000.

Speaking at the 21st celebration, Gerald Harvey, Chief Creative Officer at Mortimer Harvey thanked his business partner, Dave Mortimer, who he says has always been the other half of the perfect mix that makes up Mortimer Harvey. "Together, we built the company from a backroom operation of just three people to one that, today, makes up a family of over 70. In 1991, Dave's father, the late Roy Mortimer, was one of the original founding partners. He had also started the legendary Mortimer Tiley, which later evolved into BBDO, and Mortimer Tiley Cape Town, which, over the ensuing years, became Ogilvy South Africa."

Dave Mortimer, Chief Executive officer of Mortimer Harvey also thanked clients and staff. "It is fantastic to celebrate 21 years with so many friends, all of whom have played a significant role in our growth.
