The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group - born in early 2012 - includes more than 1300 hotels spanning 80 countries, and employis more than 80 000 people. The group's global brands include Radisson Blu, Radisson, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, Park Inn by Radisson, Hotel Missoni and Park Plaza.
"PR has proved to be the most effective business driver for us, and we have consequently eschewed all other forms of marketing," says Andrew McLachlan, Carlson Rezidor vice president of business development: Africa and Indian Ocean Islands.
marcusbrewster will be responsible for business-to-business PR throughout sub-Saharan Africa. While providing reputation management and crisis communication services, the PR firm will further the group's standing as the hotel company with the largest development pipeline on the continent.
Contracted to marcusbrewster since 2007, the Rezidor Hotel Group has seen its African portfolio grow from a single property then to signing its 50th deal later this year.
