Physical rewards booth proves popular

As part of its Rewards&More programme, started in November 2012, TFG (the Foschini Group) created instant rewards activation at Cape Town's Canal Walk Shopping Centre, as a physical manifestation of the instant and tailored rewards that characterises its loyalty and rewards programme. (Video)

The activation was done via a large interactive 'Rewards booth' that had a button, which once pressed, rewarded a customer with an instant reward, ranging from clothing and accessories to food vouchers, smartphones and tablets.

"Today's shopper wants instant gratification, which is why accumulating points when you shop, is no longer enough to entice loyalty," says TFG marketing head, Kathryn Sakalis.

This rewards system is unique in that each time customers make a purchase at any of its 18 brands they are rewarded instantly with a reward that is tailored to own unique shopping profile - no points or vouchers mailed in the post.

Since its launch, 3.5 million people have signed up. For more information, go to www.tfgrewards.co.za.
