Tuffy gets a brand new look

Tuffy Brands has introduced new packaging for its refuse bag range with a striking visual appearance and consumer friendly infographic to explain 'What's in the bag'.

"The packaging has been revised to refresh the look of the range of refuse bags with the high quality inside product remaining unchanged," says Rory Murray, Marketing Director at Tuffy Brands. "It is important that our claim of being 100% certified recycled is clearly stated on the packaging, so that consumers can make conscious decisions on their purchase of refuse bags knowing that they are contributing to removing waste from the environment by choosing Tuffy as the only certified 100% recycled refuse bag."

Tuffy has included an easy-to-understand infographic for the consumer on pack. "A lot of confusion exists as to what the difference between 'recycled' and 'recyclable' mean," he says. "Our product is made from 100% recycled material and as such assists in easing pressure on landfill, the inclusion of this infographic ensures that this is explained clearly thereby influencing responsible in-store purchasing decisions and effectively transference of the message that we are the SA manufacturer of 100% certified recycled refuse bag with product also being fully recyclable."

According to Murray, Tuffy's refuse bag is the first in SA to utilise the format of a reverse print, BOPP flowrap. "The advantage of this process ensures a better print quality that is more appealing to the consumer."

The design of the packaging was created by Cape-based, Black Sheep Design Studios and Murray says the new design has resulted in a cleaner less cluttered look-and-feel to make it look more modern and relevant.
