Africa is a big hit, for those behind the camera and those on-screen…with The African Motion Picture Company (TAMPC) scooping the Best Corporate DVD of the Year 2008, for its third successive year at the SA Publication Forum. And this, for the Coca Cola Swaziland corporate video.

Coca Cola has always been able to package and sell their own brand of happiness, hope and inspiration in every can, every bottle and indeed, every bit of above-the-line creative work.
And in keeping with this proud tradition, TAMPC captures the emotions, the highs and lows of its operations, with a high-paced narrative, awesome visuals all led by the hand of a sketch artist, cleverly threading the pieces of its 20-year history in the country.
This winning entry falls into a league of its own: the tempo, rhythm and story being told is a clear and accurate reflection of the phenomenal growth of an exceptional brand, in what is called a ‘modest' African country.
Says creative director Justyn Davies, “We managed to capture the spirit and growth of Coca Cola by replicating this in our creative interpretation which physically grew more colourful, more vivid as the company grew.”
And the Swaziland story is brought to life in a seven-minute work of creative art!
In 2006, TAMPC won Best Corporate DVD for Toyota Corporate and for Ekurhuleni Corporate Investment in 2007.
To add to the tally of awards in 2008, The African Motion Picture Company won first runner-up for the Nedbank “Walk It” DVD Newsletter as well as second runner up for the MTN “Business” in the same category at this year's instalment.
