Watch out for the Mitsubishi Fuso commercial that went on air on June 16th. If you are wanting to see a fresh, well crafted commercial that is fun to watch, then Mitsubishi Fuso is it. Directed by Joni Botha of Faith, it makes use of a clever combination of live action and animation.

The shoot itself involved a couple of days of constant movement of forklift trucks, containers being hoisted overhead, and some amazing and hair-raising precision driving by Robbi Smith. The DOP was Michael Brierly, out on a short trip from Dubai.
And then the work began. Post-production was headed up by Jeremy Emmerson of See Spot with the month-long animation being done by Werner Botha of AnimMate.
The commercial is deceptively simple. The creatives Glen James and David Taylor from the Old Shanghai Firecracker Company came up with an innovative way of showing off the Fuso's ability while creating an entertaining film.
This is the second spot that Joni has directed for the Old Shanghai recently. It followed close on the heels of the stylish Spekko rice commercial that is currently on air.
