The new Audi R8 is never stuck in traffic on the corner of William Nicol and Sandton Drive.

Instead, it turns its back instead on thousands of admiring motorists, while perched up high and untouchable on one of Primedia Outdoor's most sought-after billboards in the area.

Making its international debut only three years after the unveiling of the Audi Le Mans quattro concept car, the R8 is claimed to be the first mid-engined sports car, combining the manufacturer's experience, gained from numerous motor sport triumphs, with groundbreaking design and the acknowledged technical expertise of the brand.

"The car is now seen and admired every second of the day by motorists with a significant amount of dwell time on their hands," says S'khumbuzo Nkosi, Primedia Outdoor's CEO.

"It looks sleek and superior, while the payoff line, born of powerful ideas, immediately draws the potential buyer into its web," he adds.
