Ever wondered where you'd be at work if you'd done things differently? CareerJunction's website now offers you the opportunity. AUGUST has created a user experience where visitors to the site can see how their work life would be if they'd uploaded their CV to CareerJunction a year ago. The interactive video customises for each visitor, displaying their name throughout as if they were the office star.
Filmed in Point Of View (POV) style to make it seem as if you're 'in' the video, the experience merges the viewer's name with prerecorded content to create an interaction where each visitor becomes the coolest person in the office. The first video shows the viewer as the employee of the month winner (every month), getting a raise and more. From there, the series of three videos gets quite over-the-top to show how they'd progress at work if they'd uploaded their CV three and then five years ago.
AUGUST developed the concept, wrote the scripts and filmed the videos, then used Mozilla PopcornJS software to overlay the visitors name into the video online.
The CareerJunction campaign aims to get more jobseekers to upload their CV's for a better chance of being hired. Over 33,000 visitors have seen the video since launch and over 45,000 new registrations been recorded for the month of February.
