DigitLab is looking for a sales-oriented go-getter to fill a New Business Development role in Johannesburg. The New Business Developer will play a key role in growing the business - through lead generation, and managing relationships with existing clients.
Responsibilities include: identifying new business opportunities, attracting new clients, expanding DigitLab's reach in the Johannesburg market, development of innovative client strategies, proposal writing, client presentations, project management, and client facilitation.

The position requires considerable marketing and sales experience, access to new business contacts, leadership ability, strong negotiation and networking skills, and an understanding of both the digital industry and where DigitLab fits within the industry.

The New Business Developer will need to build strong relationships and foster good team spirit with both clients and members of the studio. This person will play a pivotal role in the development of advertising and creative strategies for clients, and will be judged on the ability to consider long-term issues as well as short-term implementation.

Client Strategy and Project Delivery

Attracting new business will involve generating leads for possible sales, follow-up sales activity and relationship building, presentations and negotiations, closing deals, and delivering on clients' business objectives. The New Business Developer will need to conceptualise and drive the strategic intent for the client and understand the client's business, as well as their industry.

The role includes project briefings, ensuring the best product/service for the client, keeping the project team informed and involved, independently handling several accounts, performing much of the day-to-day work with assistance from studio where appropriate, and responding to changing client needs and expectations.

This person will need to liaise with DigitLab accounts to ensure the smooth running of all financial processes, and ultimately be responsible for a client's happiness.
